The Power of Your Words...

This job is killing me! I think I'm getting sick. If I don't quit smoking, I'll probably die of a heart attack one day. This life is making me crazy! I can't quit drinking. My child is going to end up in prison if they don't straighten up! I can't do anything right. Do any of these phrases sound familiar to you? Do you ever really pay attention to what you are  saying on a daily basis? Our words, the bible says, have the power of death and life. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21) What we speak on a daily basis does have an affect on our lives. Do you find yourself confessing positive or negative things everyday? "Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles." (Proverbs 21:23) In other words, your mouth can cause you trouble, in more ways than one. Let me explain. We were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) and God created the w

The Latter Days Lukewarm Church...

The church God established 2,000 years ago has once again managed to turn themselves into a corporate business structure in these last days, modeled after the world. With a degree in "Church Growth and Marketing" in hand, men have manipulated the church into some type of foreign entity, with goals of exorbitant salaries, lavish furnishings, and services geared towards herding a populous in through their doors so they may continue to fund their man-made plans. This isn't to say that nothing good has ever come from it, or that God can't or doesn't use them, but when man takes the reins of God's church and starts to devise his own plans, it loses the power and direction of the Holy Spirit and settles into nauseating carnality. This my friends, is an abomination to God and He is about to put an abrupt end to those self serving plans. In fact, He has plans of His own, to replace many of the current leaders in the church with those He has been preparing behind the

Where is the Power of God?

If Jesus Christ was your pastor, would He hire interpreters for the deaf in His church?   If blind people came to His church, would they leave blind? If those with cancer came to His services, would they still leave with cancer? The church preaches about Christ every week, they preach about His great power, they preach about His great love, they preach about His ability to heal sickness and disease. So where is this great power in the church today? Why are we not seeing great signs and wonders by His followers like the early church did? Do you ever ask yourself these questions? I certainly do. I believe the reason we are not seeing these great exploits among the majority of believers today is because the majority of believers today are carnal, not spiritual. (1Corinthians 3:1) They are  babes in Christ. They have allowed themselves to become so entangled by the cares of this world that they have become unfruitful and powerless. "And these are they which are sown among thorns, su

The Coming Generation of Christians...

The coming generation of Christians aren't going to be the wimpy, awkward, and timid Christians you may have known in the past. They won't always look like what you think a Christian should look like, or sound like what you think a Christian should sound like. These new believers will be extremely bold and full of power. They will be annoying to those who have rejected the Son of God because the truth and the power of their words will convict their souls unlike anything they have ever experienced before. They will be ostracized by mainstream Christianity because they do not fit into their mold, nor do they care to. They will cause much discomfort upon all who reject their words. They will replace many current leaders in the church who have compromised their faith or who secretly hold onto unrepentant sins in their life. The Lord is going to purge them from leadership and replace them with new leaders. Judgment must first begin in the house of God and that judgment is now upon

The Dividing has Begun...

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth, I came not to send peace, but a sword.  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. (Matthew 10:34-38) The Lord is bringing a great division among those in the body of Christ who have chosen to follow Him, from those who have made the choice not to follow Him. Many of you are experiencing this right now as families are being divided, relationships are being severed, and those in the body of Christ who are willing to forsake all for the Kingdom, are moving on past those who choose to remain lukewarm and live for self. We are at a very crucial time in history as w

Can Eternal Life be Lost?

This is a very controversial subject in the church today, but if we study and discern the Word of God correctly, the answer will be clear. To begin, we must first clarify exactly what it means to be born again. When a person repents of their sin, believes Christ died and rose from the dead, and confesses Him as Lord, they become what the bible calls born again, or born from above. (Romans 10: 9,10) When you are born again, your spirit has been "saved," and forgiven of sin. (Ephesians 4:24) The Holy Spirit actually gives you a new spirit. Your old spirit, which was separated from God since birth because of inherited sin, has now been replaced by your new spirit, one created in righteousness. (Ephesians 4:24) Your body on the other hand, is still subject to sin and death and it will not be given immortality until the resurrection, but for now, it has yet to be redeemed. (1Corinthians 15:52-54) After you are born again, it is still possible for you to sin, but only in your b

Denominations Are Not of God...

I would first like to clarify something. When I speak of denominations, I am  only  referring to the denominational structure itself, ie: Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc, not believers  within  the denomination, so don't freak out just yet. God's plan for the church was unity, not division, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how the body of Christ has been divided by the forming of denominations. Let's look at the scripture concerning what God originally intended for His church. "I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." (1Corinthians 1:10) Could it really be any clearer? God's will for His church is that we all speak the same thing, that there be no divisions among us, and that we be perfectly joined together. If we look at the denominational structure of

Don't be a Compromiser...

As a Christian, do you find yourself partaking in things you know are displeasing to the Lord? Sadly, many in the body of Christ today, even some pastors and leaders in the church, are spending their free time entertaining themselves with questionable video games, movies and television shows where sin is mocked, where sexual perversions, cursing, fornication, blasphemy, drunkenness, adultery, and drug use are being utilized for entertainment  or to get a laugh from those viewing. Are you one of those who find some kind of sick humor or entertainment in these types of shows or movies? If so, you have some serious spiritual issues that need to be dealt with. Do you realize that it grieves the heart of God when you find entertainment or humor in something He views as evil and detestable? Do you think Jesus Christ found any humor or entertainment in the sin He was suffering extreme pain and torture for when He was hanging on that cross? I doubt it. If you have small children, do you a
